Designed for the airborne solider, The Keela Parachutist has been developed & designed by the

2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment in conjunction with Odin Systems & Keela International to be a multi-use smock providing the wearer with the necessary garment for all theaters that he may find himself in when dropped with limited space and weight available

Using the same unique Dual System Protection as our standard SF jacket, it is the only outer jacket that provides complete protection from the elements, while the double membrane is able to manage inner condensation creating an improved wearer comfort environment no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.

The jacket is packed with additional features required for the airborne solider, while also being able to provide a weatherproof outer jacket as well as a piece of warm kit as space is limited on the drop

Foldaway storm hood which provides full coverage and secure fit whilst still maintaining the wearer exceptional freedom of movement and vision. Fitted with a wired store peak
4 large bellowed pockets on the front of the jacket with covered storm flap large buttons to allow easy access even when the hands are gloved for winter and arctic conditions and fitted with twin draining ports
External compass pocket (buttoned) on the front top LH breast pocket
All pockets have internal lanyard loops and the top pockets an additional D ring for the attachment & security of essential items.

Large YKK storm covered duel directional front zip allows the wearer to gain access to the mid layers without compromising the weatherproof qualities of this jacket. Extra mil spec press studs at the hem of the jacket helping keep the storm zip covered at the bottom of the jacket when the wearer is tabbing and climbing
Comfort placket behind the zip at the top for comfort
Additional zip in gilet available turning improving the rating from -5 to -15 (sold separately)
Pitt zippers (covered) to allow extra ventilation in extreme activities
Streamlined elbow pad configuration designed for use with removable elbow pads (sold separately)
Cordura 330 material provide extra strength is stress areas especially in urban operations including the forearm and the shoulder areas for wearing with bergen’s and packs
Right hand arm sleeve pocket has an accessible storm covered pocket along with a larger loop panel designed for the wearing of DZ Flashes and other insignia as per units SOPs
Left hand arm sleeve pocket is bellowed to allow the carriage of the individuals IFAK as per unit SOPs with a zipped pocket under for the carriage of the MIST card
Side forearms have window panels for the attachment of various slate card and wrist tactical memo boards (sold separately)
Soft cuff adjusters so no friction and cuts are reversed
Cut 4 inches longer than the standard Keela Smocks to allow greater coverage of the body when the wearer is resting without restricting movement
Hem and hood adjusters with push looks allow for quick adjustment even with gloved hands
Rated to -5 without the need for additional warm layers (Can be upgraded to -15 with the addition of the zipped in gilet

Problem: The Airborne Solider when jumping into war has limited space and even limited weight, with re-supply being only ammunition, batteries and rations for the foreseeable future the paratrooper has limited space to be able to pack and carry his own personnel kit. There was an operational need for a duel smock that the soldier can use as his standard smock, a weatherproof outer layer and piece of warm kit
